We are certified senior advisors (CSA). CSAs are specialists in aging…professionals who have supplemented their expertise with knowledge about aging, health, social and financial issues important to many older adults. We help our clients and families to ensure they receive the best care possible. We work with families to ensure their loved ones improve safety when staying in their current home (by structural additions like grab bars, adding in-home care, etc.), or when appropriate, we help seniors and their families find other housing such as independent living facilities, assisted living facilities, memory care facilities, or skilled nursing facilities.
Our clients don’t pay a thing for our services. We earn our commission from the housing facilities that we place our clients into. Much like a Realtor represents the best interest of their client when buying or selling a property, we operate in your best interest as a placement agent, conducting an initial assessment to learn about your level of service needs, reviewing the different options and their costs with you, taking tours of various facilities together in person or remote, and continuing to follow up (customer satisfaction, change in care requirements, etc.).
We operate in the Kansas City area, specifically south of the metro, including Olathe, Lenexa, Overland Park, Mission Hills, Prairie Village, Leawood, Lees Summit, Blue Springs, Raymore, Belton, etc. We can help with matters as small as consulting with your family to make your loved ones’ current residence safer, to acting as your Realtor to sell or buy existing properties, to representing you or your loved one as a placement agent to find appropriate senior housing options.
Some of the larger senior housing information and placement corporations (typically found at the top of internet searches about senior housing) can provide some great information, but at what cost? They operate in the same manner as independent placement agents and collect commissions from facilities. HOWEVER, most of them also sell your contact information to data farms and 3rd parties. Getting bombarded with marketing texts and emails (from insurance companies, funeral homes, senior safety products, and much more) can add lots of stress, especially to situations that are already very stressful.
Discuss and sign the representative agreement and then conduct an initial assessment.
Meet to review options, costs, amenities, etc.
Conduct tours of top choice facilities based on level of care requirements as well as budget.
Complete placement of the client and initiate follow upĀ
We help people buy and sell real estate. We also help seniors and their adult children with housing decisions such as staying in their own home, looking for safer independent housing options, or choosing advanced care such as assisted living or dementia/memory care.
